26. Useful Plants Greenhouses

Near the exhibition area of useful plants, there are two greenhouses born out of the need to cultivate species well known for their products but unable to survive outdoors during the winter season. The warm-humid greenhouse is characterized by a minimum temperature of 18°C and 85-90% humidity. Among the species cultivated in this structure, we can mention coffee (Coffea arabica), cocoa (Theobroma cacao), coconut palm (Cocos nucifera), vanilla (Vanilla planifolia), pepper (Piper nigrum), banana (Musa x paradisiaca), and mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni). The warm-arid greenhouse features high temperature and low humidity, hosting various species including frankincense (Boswellia carterii), myrrh (Commiphora sp.), peyote (Lophophora williamsii), and dragon fruit (Hylocereus undatus).
